Valentines Day Garland ideas

Valentines Day is coming up! Time to get crafty!

I have more crafts coming your way but right now I'm starting with a few lovely garland ideas!

The first is a pom-pom garland. One of my favorite Etsy stops sells something similar to this but after I figured out how to make it myself there was no way I was going to pay $20 to buy it when I could make it myself for less than $10!

I'll be honest, I'm a bit obsessed with these. I will definitely be making more!

I did red and white but you can do any colors you want!

You will need:
-yarn
- a fork
-darning needle
-scissors

First Take your yarn and wrap it around the middle of your fork about 26 times.
Be sure to keep it mostly in the middle. Then cut your yarn so that the yarn is all on the fork like spaghetti. Cut a separate piece of yarn about 3-4 inches long.

Thread the yarn through the bottom of the fork and bring the other end through the spikes(?) of the top of the fork.
Then knot the yarn as tight as you can get it so it stays in place and slide it off your fork.

Grab your scissors and cut all of the loops all the way around.
This will make it pop out like a pom-pom!

Then trim all of the edges to make it pretty and even.

Thread your darning needle with more yarn and stick it right through your pom-pom!

Continue to do this until your garland is as long as you want it.

I love how simple it is and how great it looks! You can do so much with it!

Another idea comes from my favorite Dollar Store! They sell these adorable heart-shaped doilies that I am obsessed with! Soooo many crafting options here!

They have some that are bigger than these and they also come in pink! Last year I stuck them all over my front window and I got tons of compliments!

This garland is really simple. You just need yarn or string, clothes pins (they sell a pack at the dollar store) and your doilies. You could very easily skip the clothes pins and just tape the back of the doilie to the string, but I like the clothes pin look!

I will be posting more Valentines Day crafts later this week, so stay tuned! Happy crafting!!
